Since 2012, over 2,000 Teaching Assistants and support staff have attended our Effective Classroom Support programme which has been quality assured by CUREE (Centre for the Use of Research and Evidence in Education). The programme is designed for experienced or new Teaching Assistants and all other classroom support staff. The session covers the four key areas of the non-statutory Professional Standards for Teaching Assistants (2016) and is underpinned by the seven recommendations from the EEF (Education Endowment Foundation) guidance report on Making Best Use of Teaching Assistants (2015).
This course covers the following areas:
- Personal and professional conduct
- Knowledge and understanding
- Teaching and learning
- Working with others
This session takes place at: BTSA, c/o Belgrave St. Bartholomew’s Academy, Sussex Place, Longton, Stoke on Trent, ST3 4TP.
Parking is available at the Florence Sports and Social, Lightwood Road, Longton, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire ST3 4JS (Short walk away from Belgrave St. Bartholomew’s Academy).
