“The support from BTSA via the NCTL fund has contributed substantially towards the rapid improvement at Maple Court Academy. In January 2015 the academy was graded inadequate. In the subsequent Section 5 inspection January 2016 the academy was graded ‘Good’. Many thanks for the support.”Jonathan Baddeley
“All staff members have been highly engaged and motivated throughout the support given from the BTSA. Staff have had the opportunity to meet and visit staff from other schools. The opportunities for our staff’s personal CPD have been immense. The impact can be seen in the leadership’s desire to drive forward improvements and build capacity to ensure improvements can be sustained. These sustained improvements have begun to have an impact on student outcomes in terms of progress and attainment, particularly in the EYFS.”Principal
“BTSA is consistently demonstrating their principles and core purpose to support and partner other schools to ensure best possible learning outcomes for pupils, teachers and support practitioners and trainees.”Gill Farnworth
“The strength of this project has been the care and professionalism with which it has been delivered. The SLEs have worked with the school staff on priorities identified by the school. This has enabled the school to achieve good more quickly. The school now has a contacts which we can continue to tap into when required. The school achieved an overall grade of good at its latest inspection (Feb 2016).”Linda Williams
“The school to school support that has been given by BTSA has led to fantastic developments in teaching across the school. The provision which has included best practice visits to other schools, staff meetings, in class support and the development of middle leaders was well delivered and addressed the main issues holding the school back. The support for the new management team led to effective monitoring and the raising of standards which was commented widely on in our recent OFSTED report. The range of talented practitioners available through BTSA ensured that the very best person for the job was used to maximum effect driving forward school improvement in a short space of time.”Executive Headteacher
“The work of the NLE and the L&M coach and other staff, deployed through BTSA, have had a significant impact on the schools concerned. All 3 schools were removed from Ofsted categories at a faster rate than anticipated by the LA. BTSA placed strong leaders from BTSA into the schools they were supporting and unlike any other Teaching School I know BTSA relocated failing NQTs to Belgrave St Bartholomew’s Academy to ensure they received the appropriate support.”Anne Gadsden
“We have really valued the opportunity of being able to access high quality advice and support which has been expertly tailored to address our areas of development in such a timely manner; further support is often arranged immediately, usually before our meetings have even finished!”Diane Broadhurst
“We received invaluable support from BTSA at a challenging time for our school. A number of staff attended courses to support and improve their teaching. As a result of this the teaching and learning at the school has improved and the latest Ofsted report stated ‘teaching is good and on occasions outstanding, with none that is inadequate’.”Helen Morris
“BTSA has provided us with a wide range of excellent support including whole staff, subject leaders, middle and senior leaders. Through close collaboration the support provided has been tailored and, on occasion, bespoke to our setting. This has led to the greatest of impact. We are delighted to continue to work with BTSA for all of our training needs as we continue on our journey to outstanding.”Headteacher
“In terms of ‘releasing potential’ we could not have asked for any more quality support than what has already been provided. Without the excellent support from BTSA, John CV Cof E Primary School would have found it difficult to make the progress as highlighted in the 4th section 8 HMI inspection.”Sean Thomson
