Details and content

Our First Class Leaders programme was first established in 2013 and since then it has been accessed by over twenty schools and almost 100 senior leaders across Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire and Cheshire. The programme is aimed at supporting leadership teams to continue their drive towards excellence. It is underpinned by research undertaken by the likes of Kotter, Lencioni and Burchard and it provides participants with the opportunity to participate in professional debate and discussion within a network of senior leaders.

Structure and content of the programme

The programme involves six half day sessions that follow a cycle of Reality – Vision – Route. Two experienced facilitators work with members of your Senior Leadership Team on identifying –

  • Where your school is currently at
  • Where you want to take it to
  • How you will achieve the vision

We encourage participating schools to work in cohorts of 3 or 4 different settings and we encourage further collaboration by hosting each session in the schools themselves.

Feedback is consistently positive and the impact of the programme has been externally assessed.
