NQT Programme

Our Primary NQT Development Programme includes sessions covering areas of development that NQT’s have identified themselves. These sessions are delivered by a range of experts and include opportunities to work with experienced colleagues in a different school context. The programme is also supported by national figures such as behavior expert Jason Bangbala and the Primary Science Teaching Teaching Trust.

BTSA aim to provide the best possible service to schools so if problems occur additional support is readily available in the form email, telephone support and school visits. It is important to us that we do our best to support everyone concerned in obtaining successful outcomes.

The NQT Induction Year is challenging but by working in partnership BTSA and schools will provide the profession with teachers who can motivate, inspire and ensure all pupils make good progress in their learning.

BTSA has a proud history of supporting Newly Qualified Teachers in their Induction year and beyond. To supplement this support we offer free tips and resources which will help you manage your workload and complete your induction successfully.

Appropriate Body Role

The appointment of an Appropriate Body is a statutory requirement for the induction period of Newly Qualified Teachers and an NQT cannot start their induction until their Appropriate Body has been agreed.

As an Appropriate Body, BTSA will undertake the necessary verification and administrative processes on your behalf.
