New CPD training courses for teachers and schools

CPD Lead and facilitator John Collier introduces our new CPD courses for 2016/17.

The launch of the new Standard for Teachers’ Professional Development back in July highlighted CPD as being a three way responsibility shared by school leaders, teachers and providers of professional development.

I recently joined the members of the Expert Panel who authored the new standard in order to explore how we might use them to support school improvement. It was the launch of a campaign to ensure the standards are widely understood, used and exemplified to help build a shared understanding of what quality implementation looks like. Here at BTSA we have aligned our current programmes to the five parts and ensured that our new programmes are built in a way that reflect the very best CPD delivery – Direct Professional Development leading to Improved Practice resulting in Improved Pupil Outcomes.

We have been working closely with primary school teachers and senior leaders since 2012 and we are very proud to have trained over 2,000 course participants in high quality CPD. We are now pleased to introduce some new CPD courses for 2016/17.
