Andrew Warren elected as the new Teaching Schools Council chair
Andrew Warren, Director of the BTSA, has been elected by The Teaching Schools Council (TSC) as chair to lead their work over the next 2 academic years. Speaking in an article by the TSC, Andrew said:
“First, I’d like to say that I’m both delighted and humbled to have been elected chair of the TSC by my fellow colleagues.”
“The chair is responsible for providing leadership to the TSC – this represents a huge opportunity to work with teaching schools across the 9 regions to continue their good work and impact across the country.”
“In my day job I’m Director of the Britannia Teaching School Alliance, which works with over 100 schools to provide support and create the next generation of outstanding teachers and leaders. I was a primary headteacher for 17 years prior to that in 3 very different schools, including 2 secondments to schools in trouble. I was also seconded for a year to work for Stoke-On-Trent City Council as an assistant director in the Children and Young People’s Directorate. I joined the TSC in June 2014 as a regional representative for the West Midlands and was elected to the role of regional vice chair in September 2015.”
